The self-employed individual Margarita Svečkova, hereinafter referred to as the online store, provides the content available on the website www.meggyceramics.lv and offers products/services in accordance with the Terms of Use outlined below.
1. General Terms
When the Buyer purchases goods/services via the website, this mutual agreement is considered a Distance Contract and is subject to the laws of the Republic of Latvia regulating distance contracts, including but not limited to the “Consumer Rights Protection Law” and the Cabinet of Ministers regulations “Regulations on Distance Contracts”, among others.
Before accessing or using our online store, please carefully read these Terms of Use. By accessing or using any part of the website, you agree to be bound by these service terms. If you do not agree to all the terms and conditions of this agreement, you may not access the website or use any services.
2. Purchasing
The prices and specifications of the goods sold in the online store are indicated next to the products.
To place an order, add the desired products to the shopping cart. Fill in all necessary fields and select the most suitable delivery method. The total cost of the order with delivery will then be displayed on the screen. Make the payment to complete the order.
3. Service and Price Changes
Product prices may change without prior notice.
The online store reserves the right to change or discontinue the service (or any part or content thereof) at any time without prior notice.
We shall not be liable to you or to any third party for any modification, price change, suspension, or discontinuation of the service.
4. Availability and Accuracy of Information
The online store strives to ensure that all information provided on the website — including product descriptions, pricing, images, and delivery details — is accurate and up to date. However, inaccuracies or incomplete information (such as typographical errors, pricing mistakes, or stock discrepancies) may occasionally occur. The online store reserves the right to correct such errors, update or change information at any time without prior notice.
Product images are for illustrative purposes only and may differ slightly from the actual appearance of the goods (e.g., in color tones).
5. Payment Terms
The transaction currency on the site is Euro. Purchases can be paid using the following methods:
- Visa/Mastercard card payments;
- International payment systems such as PayPal, Western Union, etc.;
- Internet banking with Swedbank, Citadele, SEB, Luminor, etc.;
- Bank transfer to our account;
- Cash payment;
- Or another individually agreed method.
The contract takes effect upon successful payment to the online store’s bank account. If the order cannot be fulfilled for any reason, the Buyer will be informed and the amount paid will be refunded as soon as possible, but no later than 14 days from receipt of the notification.
6. Delivery Terms
Delivery is available worldwide, except to countries where delivery is not possible due to natural disasters, military conflicts, or other reasons.
Currently, shipments are not made to Russia and Belarus.
Products are delivered via: Latvijas Pasts, Omniva, courier services, or other methods by agreement.
All duties and taxes required to receive the shipment at the delivery destination must be covered by the Buyer. Delivery costs are shown before confirming the order. The purchased products will be delivered to the address specified by the Buyer within 40 calendar days.
7. Right of Withdrawal
The Buyer has the right to withdraw from the goods within 14 calendar days from the date of receipt. The right of withdrawal does not apply if the Buyer is a legal entity. The right of withdrawal does not apply to goods made to individual order.
To exercise the 14-day right of withdrawal, the goods may only be used for their intended purposes, and the consumer is responsible for preserving the quality and safety of the goods during the withdrawal period. If the goods are misused or damaged, mishandled during use, if the original packaging is lost or significantly damaged, the online store has the right to reduce the refundable amount according to the decreased value.
To exercise the right of withdrawal, you must submit a withdrawal form, which can be found here: withdrawal form, and send it to sveckova.margarita.riga@gmail.com within 14 days of receiving the goods.
The Buyer covers the cost of returning the goods, except in cases where the reason for the return is that the item does not correspond to the order (e.g., wrong or damaged product).
The Buyer must return the goods to the Seller without delay, and no later than 14 days after sending the withdrawal form. Upon receiving the returned goods, the online store will promptly, but no later than within 14 days, refund all payments received from the Buyer under the Distance Contract.
The Seller has the right to withhold the payment until the goods or proof of their return has been received. If the Buyer has chosen a delivery method other than the cheapest one offered by the online store, the online store is not obliged to compensate the excess delivery costs.
The online store is not responsible for delays or failure to perform due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control.
The online store reserves the right to refuse the sale and request the return of goods if the listed price was significantly lower than the market price due to an error.
8. Consumer Rights Regarding Non-Conforming Goods
The online store is responsible for non-conformities or defects in goods sold to the Buyer that appear within 2 months from the delivery date or were present at the time of delivery unless such assumption contradicts the nature or type of defect. The Buyer must inform the Seller of the non-conformity immediately within 2 months of discovering it by submitting a complaint to sveckova.margarita.riga@gmail.com.
The online store is not responsible for defects that appear after the goods are delivered. If the purchased goods have defects for which the Seller is responsible, the Buyer has the right to request repair or replacement of the goods at no cost.
If the goods cannot be repaired or replaced, the Seller shall refund all payments provided for in the Distance Contract. The Seller must respond in writing to the consumer’s complaint within 15 days.
9. Processing of Buyer’s Personal Data
The online store processes only the personal data entered by the Buyer when ordering products, such as name, surname, email, etc.
The online store transfers personal data to the transport service provider(s) to ensure delivery.
The online store’s privacy policy is described in the Privacy Policy section.
10. Copyright
All content available on the website www.meggyceramics.lv, including but not limited to texts, images, design, graphics, logos, and other forms of intellectual property, is protected under the copyright and related rights laws of the Republic of Latvia and is the property of the self-employed person Margarita Svečkova or her partners.
Any use, copying, reproduction, transmission, or distribution of this content without prior written permission is strictly prohibited.
Unauthorized use may result in legal consequences.
11. Dispute Resolution Procedure
For matters not covered by these terms, the Buyer and Seller agree to comply with the laws of the Republic of Latvia.
Any disputes between the Buyer and Seller shall be resolved through mutual negotiation or correspondence. If this fails, the dispute shall be resolved in the courts of the Republic of Latvia in accordance with Latvian law.
Disputes between the Buyer (consumer) and the Seller may also be submitted to the Consumer Rights Protection Centre or to the courts of the Republic of Latvia.
The Buyer also has the right to contact the European Union dispute resolution bodies.
